Our hyceram ceramic composite can also be machined using turning, grinding and milling techniques, opening up extensive design options for complex applications. We are happy to supply coloured blanks for machining. This ensures the shortest possible processing times and allows optimal execution of turning, grinding and milling techniques.
Precision in further processing
Using modern CNC lathes and milling machines, the blanks can be processed into precise components for creative watch and jewellery elements, high-quality writing instruments and other design objects in the premium segment. In addition to flat, high-gloss and matt surfaces, three-dimensional, textured and relief-like surfaces can also be created by mechanical processing.
Project-specific blanks
We can provide optimised blanks with geometry precisely matched to the planned production strategies. The high material precision enables a milling accuracy of up to 0.02 mm and allows production of even the most demanding details such as sharp edges, defined threads and precise contours. Our composite ceramic is available in an extensive range of standard colours. We can also fulfil individual colour requests according to Pantone or RAL specifications.
Tool recommendation
Diamond-coated tools have proven to be effective for turning and milling hyceram, as they deliver a consistently high cutting performance. The optimum speeds and feeds depend on the object geometry and the CNC system used and are determined on a project-specific basis. An integrated dust extractor helps to maintain a clean machining environment. Wet processing is advantageous for the best possible surface results.
