hyceram
Premium ceramic composite for precise and elegant coloured design
hyceram combines 60% microfine ceramic with modern, 3D cross-linked polymers. The result is a biocompatible ceramic composite that hardens via a pressure/heat process and impresses with its outstanding surface quality.
Premium look and feel, precise applications for high-end jewellery and watches are classic features.
hyceram can be processed manually or by machine and is ideal for high-quality coloured designs for watches, jewellery and writing instruments and for design and functional components in the automotive and medical technology sectors. hyceram is hardened using a pressure/heat process, resulting in durable design elements that maintain their colour and shape.

Expressive colours
hyceram comes in a wide range of colours and also offers the option of precise, customer-specific colour solutions using Pantone and RAL specifications. Multi-coloured and high-gloss or matt effects can also be achieved. hyceram is permanently colour-stable.
Distinctive surface quality
With a ceramic content of 60% and an microfine particle size of 0.3 - 0.8 µm, hyceram achieves a high surface hardness of 410 N/mm2. The material is also chemically resistant, UV-stable and can withstand temperatures of up to 200°C for short periods.
Wide range of processing options
hyceram can be processed manually or mechanically. It can then pass through additional design stages involving grinding, polishing, drilling, milling, laser cutting, engraving or electroplating. This offers maximum freedom in the design and manufacturing process.
Biocompatible
Our materials comply with ISO 10993 and are therefore tested for compatibility.
REACH-compliant
Our products fulfil the REACH guidelines of the EU for protection of health and the environment.
New
hyceram crystal
We have taken our proven ceramic composite a stage further to offer a new and innovative design option. hyceram is now also available in transparent colours, which can be used for see-through design elements that set
new standards.
hyceram Swiss Super-Luminova®
The innovative combination of our ceramic composite with Swiss Super-Luminova® pigments allows creative day/night designs. This means that ceramic-based composite materials can also be used for light storage and self-illuminating applications.
Learn moreApplication
Filling technique
The ceramic composite can be applied directly from the cartridge, cured and then sanded and polished.
Casting technique
The material can also be applied to a metal or silicone mould. This is cured with pressure and heat and can then undergo further processing.
Engraving
The surface can be engraved mechanically or with a laser. Textures and multi-coloured designs with a homogeneous surface can be created in this way.
Stone settings
Thanks to the micro-elasticity of hyceram, stones can be set directly in the material.
Electroplating
The material is suitable for final electroplating of watches and items of jewellery, due to no effect to the colour, surface and adhesion.
Given the variety of electroplating applications, we recommend preliminary tests.
Turning, grinding & milling
hyceram can also be supplied in the form of a blank that is ready for further machining such as grinding, milling, drilling or turning.
